Direct Support Professional

MISSION: Our goal is to provide quality programs and services to persons who have physical, mental, and/or developmental disabilities in a way that will preserve and promote dignity, independence, self-esteem, and personal growth. We will promote the removal of social, vocational, educational, and environmental barriers which deprive individuals of the opportunity to be self-sufficient and socially integrated into the community. To accomplish these goals we will provide educational opportunities for skill enhancement, employment opportunities within our setting, and employment assistance within our community.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Completes Monthly Summaries according to Medicaid regulations
Trains Participants in Work Service procedures
Works with Services Coordinator as needed to meet Participants' goals
Completes docuemntation of classes and activities in IBV
Esnures safety and wellbeing of all Participants at all times
Maintains quality control in the work services setting

REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED.
A heart for helping others
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly and 30+ pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, kneel, climb, reach, and twist.
Valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
Ability to pass KARES background screening and drug screening

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:45 AM-3:15 PM
