If you are a participant in Supports for Community Living, you may choose J U Kevil as one of your service providers. A plan for work, activities or a combination of both will be developed according to your personal goals. Your plan might use any of the program features found at J. U. Kevil. You may choose from a variety of classes and activities designed to promote independence and self-enrichment.

Budgeting—First we learn, then we try the real thing

Community Living Skills

Field trips and other outings also provide opportunities to go into the community. Classes could includes topics such as Basic Education or Budgeting. Other classes may stress personal skills such as  communication, grooming, or nutrition

Other activities available at the Center on a daily basis include making cards or writing letters on the computer, playing games, and crafts. 

Sometimes there are special events such as movies, sporting events, museums, theater, or exercise.  You can help plan your program just like ordering from a menu. What would you like to learn?

If independent living is one of your goals, you need to learn about good nutrition.

The local YMCA provides some great opportunities for exercise.

The library and the movie theater offer new learning experiences as well as fun and relaxation.
